Capsicum Rice | Bell Pepper Rice | Easy Rice recipes

Capsicum aka bell peppers are a delicious vegetable which contains vitamins A and C. It is a low calorie vegetable which can be consumed either in raw or in cooked form. Compared to green bell peppers, the red variety has more nutrients, including the antioxidant lycopene. You can use green, red, orange or yellow color capsicum to prepare this dish. Now coming to our recipes, Capsicum / bell pepper bath is very easy and quick dish, especially you have the left over rice. Capsicum cooks fast and we always have the vangibath powder ready , making the playa and mixing it is like 10 to 15 minutes work. You have this wonderful tasty rice dish ready for any meal and great for lunch box.

Garlic Chutney Powder, Chutney Powder recipes

Garlic chutney powder is one of the versatile powders we can prepare. This chatni powder can be used as a side dish to rotis, dose,and idli and much more. You can sprikle this powder on sandwich, vada pav  or any chat you prepare at home. In this recipe we are using quite a bit of curry leaves also which adds more health benefits to the dish.

If you don’t have time to prepare red chutney  for the Masala Dose , you can sprinkle this  Garlic chutney powder on the Dose. This Garlic chutney powder is prepared with out any dals.

Raagi – Finger millet is full of nutrients. Good source of calcium, fiber iron and much more… We can use this raagi in making Ragi  rotti, Raagi Ambali, a healthy drink and this Mudde. Ragi Mudde is a wholesome and staple food in many parts of Karnataka.

Ragi is rich in calcium, iron and fiber. It also contains phytochemical, which aids in slowing down the digestion process. Ragi’s high levels of niacin help in increasing HDL cholesterol while lowering Triglycerides.

Banana Idli recipe with step by step instructions with pictures. If we have over ripe banana the first recipe comes to our mind is banana bread or muffins, which uses maida or all purpose flour. Instead of the cake or the bread we have another delicious healthy recipe using over ripe bananas.This is special malnad dish.
It is so common in most of our homes to bring bananas and leave it on the counter, end up with over ripe ones. Either we can trash them or using the same we can make some awesome dishes like Banana Rotti, Banana saasive/ Mosaru Bajji. and this Banana Idli.
