Vitamin B6

Vitamin B6 is naturally occuring in many foods. It is necessary for hundreds of enzyme reactions that take place in the body, as well as for brain development in infants during pregnancy and infancy.

This vitamin is found in starchy vegetables such as potatoes, as well as most fruits (apart from citrus fruits).

Vitamin A

Vitamin A plays many roles in the body. One of its functions is being a part of a protein that absorbs light in the retinal receptors (which is where the fact that Vitamin A is good for eyes comes from). Vitamin A is also crucial for cell growth and division, which is necessary for the development of organs, tissue, etc. This function of Vitamin A has lead researchers to believe that vitamin A may reduce the risk of cancer.

Although Vitamin A can be found in fortified cereal, milk, and vitamin supplements, the best source of vitamin A is in foods that contain beta-carotene, which the body can convert into Vitamin A. Beta-carotene is found in many fruits and vegetables, making them the best source of vitamin A. In fact, too much of the form of Vitamin A found in supplements and fortified foods can increase your risk of hip fracture.

    Carrot Pepper RiceCarrot is an amazing root loaded with Vitamin A and beta carotene. The high level of beta-carotene acts as an antioxidant. It help slows down the aging of cells. Chewing on a piece of carrot after each meals helps in maintaining the healthy gums and teeth. Black pepper aids digestion, and adding black pepper to the diet helps to relieve the congestion. It reduces inflammation. Here is a very simple, quick recipe using the carrots and Pepper.
