Green Chutney for Chaats | Spicy Cilantro Mint Chutney

Green Chutney is one of the very important chutney we use for any street chats. The main taste and flavor to the street food chaats are from this green / hasiru chutney. Mouth watering spicy chutney or green chutney can be used for chaats and as bread spread for tasty sandwiches. This is healthy digestive chutney made with mint, coriander leaves and spices like jeera, ginger ……
Nuchchinunde, gundponglu goes well with this green chutney as well.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup or big handful of coriander leaves
  • ½ cup mint leaves
  • small piece of ginger
  • 2 small garlic cloves
  • 3 or more green chillies
  • ½ tbsp fried gram/hurigadale/putani
  • ¼ tsp jeera cumin seeds
  • tsp ½salt
  • 3 tbsp water
  • juice of half a lemon

Tools
4 cup pyrex prepware, Magic bullet blender

Instructions

  1. Grind all the ingredients except lemon juice to a fine paste
  2. if the mixer jar is small, first grind the mint and coriander leaves and then add other ingredients
  3. squeeze the lemon juice and mix it. Green chutney is ready for chaats.
