Instant Mango kesar Peda using milk powder, also known as Mango Doodh Peda, is a quick and easy Indian sweet recipe. Ingredients
- 2 sweet mangoes (wash peel and cut the fruit and grind it)
- 1 cup OR mango puree 1 cup = 250ml
- 1 cup whole milk powder
- 1/4 cup sugar/jaggery powder
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 tsp cardamom powder
- in pinch of saffron soakedmilk
- 1 tbsp ghee
Instructions
- Combine mango puree, milk, and sugar in a thick-bottomed pan.
- Keep this on medium heat and let the sugar dissolve.
- When it starts to boil, add milk powder and mix it well.
- Add 1 tablespoon of ghee and saffron milk, then mix well.
- Stir until the peda mixture starts to thicken and forms a ball. This usually takes about 5 minutes.
- After 10 minutes, you may want to reduce the heat to low.
- After 20 minutes, when all the water content has evaporated, add cardamom powder and mix well.
- Continue stirring until the mixture leaves the pan and forms a ball. At this stage, turn off the heat and transfer the mixture onto a greased plate to cool a bit.
- Grease your hands and knead the peda mix. Take a desired amount and shape it into pedas.
- Place chopped nuts in the center of each peda.
Notes
If the peda is sticking to your hands, put it back into the pan and keep it on low flame for some more time until you get the right consistency.
