  • 1/2 cup sweet corn
  • 2 finely chopped green chilies
  • 1 to 2 tbsp grated carrot
  • 1 to 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
  • 1 tbsp raisins / ona draakshi
  • juice of 1/4 lime/lemon
  • 2 tbsp grated coconut
  • 1/4 tsp salt or salt to taste

For seasoning:

  • 1 tsp cooking oil
  • pinch of hing
  • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp urad dal
  • Few curry leaves


  • In a bowl combine corn, carrot, coconut, coriander, leaves
  • Heat the oil in pan on medium low heat, once it is hot add hing, mustard seeds,
  • After it pops add urad dal, fry it until the dal turns golden brown, then add green chilies
  • Fry it for few seconds and then add raisins, and
  • Let the raisins puffs up, then add curry leaves and fry it for few seconds,
  • turn off the heat and add the seasoning to the kosambari/salad
  • Add salt, and lemon juice. Mix it well . Serve this tasty salad as a snack or with dinner or lunch.
