Bitter gourd /hagalakaayi/karela is very healthy but bitter vegetable. Many people like the bitterness of this hagalkaayi but some of us needs some sweetness in the dishes. So we prepare this karela with right amount of sweet and sour ingredients to make it more appetizing to consume this hagalkaayi. This is another variety of gojju/gravy using this bitter gourd.

Rasam/saaru is consumed as soup or with rice. For cold winter days it is the best drink. For summer it keeps us hydrated. There are many ways rasam can be prepared. We already have the one variety , this is another way to prepare the tomato rasam with out dal/lentils. Tastes good as soup, with a rich coconut flavor.

Tambuli or tambli is part of our everyday meal. This flavored yogurts are prepared with different spices and vegetables. Eating this tambli/ flavored curd is healthy and helps in digesting our rest of the meal. Here in this recipe I am using ginger/shunti as main flavor along with healthy curry leaves.

Kayi means coconut, rasa means juice and hasi means raw, here in this recipe the dish gets its main flavor from raw coconut. The kayi rasa recipe is special to malnad and coastal regions of Karnataka. Here, the vegetable we are using green beans. Easy to make and very very tasty dish goes well with rice or rotti.
